Price check Rem 870 express

I have a remington 870 that ii took on trade and have no interest in owning. It is in as new condition (fired one 20 rnd box) It is an express model with 20" barrel, improved cylinder with rifle sights. It has a synthetic stock and a speed feed le forend. It also has a s&j over sized safety and delrin follower.

any ideas on what i should price this at on EE?
I know nothing about shotguns.

I'd say in the 400 range. Maybe a little less if it's a bit used. I have 2 Express 870's and that seems about the going rate.

They do seem to go for around 400 here but the cheapest I have seen at our supporting dealers is actually only 379.00 brand new! That is with no mods mind you.

I believe Bass Pro was selling them for 299$ for awhile. I would put 300$ on it and be happy to get rid of it.

I bought one yesterday, just a bit more then this deal. I paid 330.00 with the lebarons discount card.

When you knew very well the OP (Goozyman) had one for sale...? Did you contact him at all..?

I have seen them as high as $400 and as low as $250. I bought one still in the box 3 yrs ago for $275. It was a heck of a deal at the time, but at the end of the day it's an express and there are probably better shotguns out there.

I bought a little used one off a member on the EE here for $290 I think it was a few years ago. I like it.

Maybe he wanted one that wasnt set up with rifle sights. The op hasn't listed his forsale yet either as far as I know.

I only buy used if it is going to save me a lot of money. How much are you going to save buying a used 870? At best 50 bucks? At worst it ends up costing more.

Than there is the wrong barrel length, wrong choke, wrong sights...

But next time I will be sure to consult you before making a purchase.
