Sorry to bringing up the zombie thread... just had to share. I went from situation with no scales to when i have to many scales now. Exactly 2 month later my ebay scales have arrived + i got my Jennings js-50xv back from the warranty. I was surprised by quick turnaround of Jennigs (well canadapost is still ridiculously slow anyway, but i got my scales back in 5 business days after i send them). The note that came with my scales indicated that they got them working perfectly and only had to calibrate to check if everything was in order. Thanks Canadapost for fixing my scales :-D Anyway, i did some quick testing today to compare 0.001g scales to my 0.01 Jennings. Build quality of Jennings is much better, by much i mean like alot. Rubber buttons with nice feel, large weighting tray, large lcd, assembly is good. Now back to ebay 0.001 scales. Comes with a nice box, little tweezers, tray for powder. Build quality is somewhat flimsy, lcd is installed deeper on one side then another. weighting area is tiny, close to size of a nickel. One rubber foot was little shorter so i had to use piece of paper to stop the wobble. As far as accuracy, both scales performed within specs... Both agreed on 10g , 0.6gn, 3.0gn and 3.6gn. Jennigs stabilized faster, but are somewhat finicky with conversion to grains. 10g would be 154.4 most of the time, but on rare occasions 154.3. while always being 10.00 in grams. I will experiment with lower weight when my calibration kit arrives. Oh and the last thing, jennings stay on much longer then ebay scales and don't turn on lcd backlit every time you weight something. They also take 3AAA as oppose to 2.
