Pic of my Savage 93R17TR

yes, i picked up the EGW rail direct from EGW website. as for the scope, i picked it up in the low 400s i cant remember the exact price, it was on sale when i got it and i think the price has gone up since then altho its still a bargain for the quality. i picked the gun up from cabela's canada. my friend did some shop around and he said they had the greatest price for these savage 93 series. that very same friend picked up the thumb hole model and also picked up a chinese leupold for it. ive tried his scope and i must say its a pain to the eye. the dots (he bought the mil dot version) are huge which covered up the target, and you could never get the dot and your target to be in focus together. so its not about the recoil (there is no recoil with these guns) . the drop from 100-200 is 7 moa with 20 grain ammo. every one prefers the 17 grain bullet but 20 was all i had with me.

Awesome thanks for the info. ya I noticed the dots on my scope are a little big... i have been looking through it and everything seems pretty clear suprisingly.. My dealer has 500 packs of 17 gr all over the place so i think ill grab those! thanks again..

Been wanting to buy one for a while, it just needs to make it to the top of my Want list...the M14 just got removed from the want list, I have mine on the way ;). Now just gotta get to one of these babies...looks great

from my ballistics software, it states that the 17 gr v-max has 3.77 MOA of drop.. This may not be entirely accurate but I still think it may be less than shooting 20 gr.

I'm gonna sight her in with 17gr the coming weekend. I'll massure the drop once again. It could also be the range cuz it's a upward slop to 200. So the bullet path would not be accurate than to shooting on level ground/bilistic software.
