.375 ruger

My .375 African does put factory 270 grain hornady's right on the button pretty pleased out of the box for accuracy.The gun on the other hand ,the safety would not work ,could not move it.Very surprised that it left the factory like that but it was an early build.Had to take it to the smithy who machined the bloody thing down, works good now said he had never seen anything like hat.Ruger said they would cover it if I shipped it to Montreal but it was cheaper to have it fixed here,don't know if I'll buy a ruger again.:(

I ran the numbers on the 250TTSX (estimated BC) and the 300TSX and the difference is less than the accuracy potential of the rifle until you get beyond 400 yards or so.
FWIW the recoil might be less on paper, but I suspect 250 grains@ 2900fps will be a lot snappier than 300 grains @ 2650fps.

I tried some old 210x in my 375 Ultra and the recoil was brutal....They were going 3400fps..Which explains a lot! :)

Be very cool to zero your scope for the 250gr ttsx for any shot you want to 500 yards, and then if you have to follow up a grizzly in thick cover, you can pop off the scope and load some 350gr Woodleighs that your iron sights are zeroed for.

If we read all of the text stamped into the magazine, we find that it is directed at people who can't tell which way to point their "bullets" or those who might be tempted to use 3 different cartridges interchangeably in their rifle, so rather than have them searching for a thin, soft covered book, Savage instead choose to provide them with a short word they could understand. Whether or not such folks should be allowed to walk around without supervision is another question. :D

We might also point out that the words caliber and cartridge are related but not synonymous, and that BBL is not the proper spelling of the word barrel.

I have to go with the .375 H&H, and according to all of the famous gunwriters of the
past, the.375 H&H was usually refered to as the "Queen of the Medium Bores."
As for a .375 Marlin M95, that's easy enough. Just rebarrel one and have it chambered
in .375 JDJ. This cartridge is based on the .444 Marlin necked down to .375 and in
custom handguns has killed the largest big game critters on earth.
I would love a '95 Marlin in this chambering for Grizzly huntin'.

Paul i totally disagree to agree with you.
my 375 ruger in stainless and laminated is the only true king of the 375s and only for the reason they re made in left hand .... only for 93 samples ... we re only 93 king owners ....

ps : a shame you didnt enter the YFGA contest .. your caribou had win everything at least for me ....
