BLR Lever

I use a BLR in 450 marlin to dog with, the removable magazine is a big advantage.I understand you want a smaller cartridge,have also used a 358 in the BLR that is a great deer round.

You need a nice old vintage Remington model 14 in 35 Rem! This is the king of the classic brushing/dogging gun! I will tell you that there is no better brush gun than these sleek little devils, and it has plenty of punch easliy slips threw the woods with you without getting caught on every branch! I was daydreaming the other day and thought about building a nice Win model 100 carbine in 338 federal, I think this one will get built in the next year or so!cheers Dale Z, good luck !

shot a doe 5 times with a 44 ruger semi then I had to stab it to death fun to shoot but poor penitration and no expantion shot a big 9 point with a marlin 35 very nice but unloading a tube sucks when your hands are cold and in my quest for the purfect deer gun has lead to a browning 358win hand loaded with nos 225 partitionsand my next on the list is the 375
