I just bought this on the EE and was wondering if anyone has some info on it??
It looks like they were trying to incorporate a muzzle brake and flash eliminanator in one unit.

I dont know if I like or hate the way it looks yet..lol ..but it has a bayonet lug..so the deer are in trouble now

Looks like somebody made a sleeve to go over a regular flash hider.
"...has a bayonet lug..." Pricey things those M6 bayonets. Collector's Source wants $60 for one.

More of a bubba job , the m14e2 muzzle brake unit has an arm that latches onto the bayonet lug and is a full sleeve that can come on and off .

There you had to say it...lol ...I think it is dead ###y....lol

I thought it was one piece but you maybe right and someone may have just hammered this on top of a regular eliminator...got the round sleeve off a 61 International maybe...lol

I will know in a few days I guess .....as it is in the mail..:)...It was like the ugly dog in the pound...you gotta take it home...lol

All I want is the sight base and bayo lug end ...I didnt think it was a legit brake .....but had to ask about it..I still think its part International...lol

It looks like there are threads at the base of the FH. Does the sleeve turn at all? To me it looks like the person may have made the device to "tune" it for a particular load.

So my ugly duckling came in the mail today.....It appears to be formed out of one piece of metal ...and not a tube hammered onto a regular flash eliminator after the fact. Maybe it came from a bubba factory...lol
So this looks like it was specifically made this way ....I still have no idea who made it???

Any one else ever see one like this before?

I asked the OP I bought it off and he said he had it for along time...long before all the chinese copies came here..

I will post some better pics later..but it is not a home made item like I previously thought.

Thanks Doc for the idea of sending Different a PM...he told me when my poly was made when I emailed my numbers to him a few weeks back

I still dont know anything about this muzzle brake...it looks like it was formed out of one piece of metal at the back end but at the front it doesnt ? But with the tabs inside the slots it wouldnt fit over the muzzle..unless the tabs were formed later ?

Looks like a homemade attempt at turning the flash supressor into a muzzle break. Interesting experiment anyway. The crack near the muzzle tells me it may be as simple as an attempt to prevent the crack from running any further.

I agree as thats an idea I had too about it..but the raised lugs and the area in front of the sight base still look like it was all formed out of one piece of metal ?So I am still puzzled about it.

The muzzle brake portion is not from a M14E2 muzzle stabilizer. I've never seen such a muzzle attachment before. The interior diameter "guides" of the muzzle brake portion don't appear to mate up neatly with the suppressor slots from what the photos show. My guess is that it is an experimental attempt by a private individual.
