Well , I tried out my Xmas gift from my wife.

The first 10 shots were into a backstop to remove any extra oil

This is the first aimed 10 shots

Shot from 10 m from a bench.

Used a Tasco boresighter. First shot into the black.

The next as per the groupings as i adjusted the scope

Chrony says 735 fps with a Crosman Pemium Hollow Point , 14.3 grains pellet

Happy so far:D

Yours is rated for 950 ft/sec right? How's the trigger on yours? I'm considering getting the 1150 rated version. Is yours pretty quiet? Also FTW I hear there are drop in trigger groups that can be installed.

Tactical Lever

The 950 fps rating is based on alloy pellets
The rating with lead pellets is 800 fps
Acording to the owners manual
It seems that most claims of velocity are for alloy pellets
Sometimes they list both, but if they don't, I assume the value
Is for alloy.

I don't mind the trigger. Yes,it has a bit of a longish travel, but I am ok with it.

I find that the nitro piston is quieter than my other air rifles but not hugely so.

I don't know anything about drop in triggers for this rifle.
Maybe someone else can chime in.

How is the overall build quality? I have read that a some guys have had some improvements polishing the bore and slightly crowning the chamber, as some pellets would not chamber all the way.

I have read that there are a couple options for triggers: GTX 2 or 3, some other brand (I think) available from Scopes and Ammo or adjust it yourself (with a longer screw for one adjustment possibly helping).

When you say it is somewhat quieter, are you comparing it to similar power piston rifles? The ad literature is saying 70% quieter; does that seem about right, or are they exagerating it slightly?

Thanks for the info!

Overall build quality is good, bluing is uniform, barrel was clean out of the box,

Scope is very good.

The sound is definetly quieter, compared against a similar powered springer.
At least 30%. I'm half deaf. My wife noticed the difference more so.
But can I say 70% lower, no but sounds are highly subjective.

Biggest difference I noticed is that the vibration that you feel during firing

Is almost non-existent. Pellet fits into barrel properly, nice fit
