I think this is off a rifle. I received this stock set and I have no idea what it fits. I have check on the EE and internet for something similar but I cannot find anything. Anybody know what it fits???

Thanks

Maybe wander through Trade Ex's shot gun site.
See if anything there matches up.
I dare say an old Belgian SxS?
That raised point in front of the checkering on the rear wood
reminds me of the Savage 99 profile.

guessing game

I've never seen a Browning with that kind of cheek piece, plus all brownings have a fairly obvious front wood release mechanism, not present with this stock. FS

I would say its a rifle stock, or from an off-brand O/U...

Its definetly not off a Superposed or Citori...They have a distinct L shape at the reciever end, and there is no cutout for the release mechanism....

I think it's from a European express gun, the latch in the front reminded me of a double auto release for some reason.
The for end is for sure for an O/U, not wide enough and too deep for a SXS.
it's very slim, some I'm thinking some sort of sporting rifle.....

I tried and it will not fit around a 12 gauge barrel. It is driving me crazy. Looks like it was off a good quality gun and I would like to find out what it is. I have had it for atleast 5 months just laying around my gun bench, I though about modifying it to fit something but I wanted to see if it was worth anything first. Now I see my plans have changed.

More correctly to me the Savage 99 mimics the lines of shotgun stocks especially with the tang safety. That said this aint no 99stock set. Shotgun or Euro rifle mebbe.
