want to make 260 brass from lapua 308 brass

ht tp://www.6mmbr.com/260aiforming.html

Here is an article about forming .243 Win Lapua brass to .260 AI. I know, not the same but you may want to take a look. I would just go ahead and do it, I can't forsee too many problems. If you had a 7mm-08 die set it may help.

got the dies today and lubed the 308 brass with imperial sizing wax, stuffed them in and no problems. Thanks for all the info guys

Made all my .260 from .308 with just a .260 sizing die.

Looks like Lapua makes .260 Rem brass now.....saweet. Get some of that and your off to the races. :D

Just be carefull your case necks are not to thick, you may have to inside neck ream...

Why would one want to inside neck ream? Why would anyone want to do ANYTHING to the inside of a case neck for that matter other than clean it?

If the brass is too thick then get a neck turning kit and turn the OUTSIDE and leave the inside (the part that holds onto the bullet) as is.

Well you're both right, it depends on whether it's done before or after sizing(ream vs turn). Sizing down like this is not prob. just lube and size, and like others have said watch for too thick necks. Sizing up is more work as it requires neck expanding and may have to be done in steps.
