Kiss/ Mr Bulletfeeder Technical help.

Alright, I got one of these in the mail today used, and I want to set it up.

One problem, it does not have any instructions, and I do not want to mess the unit up. I have a bunch of misc. parts that I have no idea what to do with them, and the unit is not even powering up. The adaptor has power, but the unit does not seem to.

As you can see, there are a bunch of different things I have out.


-Spare fuse, no problem, the fuse in the unit is fine.

- Ball bearing...?

- Tiny set screw...?

- Hollow tube, looks like somthing that goes in the die?

- 4 prong power adaptor, 2 prongs fit, don't know which to use.

-The die is plugged in. Does polarity matter?

-Power adaptor setting is at 12v

- A wire on the inside of the unit looks like it is cut half through... do I have to resolder the wire, or is it meant to be like that?

How do I get the sucker set up properley?


Any help is appreciated.

I should have the manual if you want to stop by on the weekend.

The funnel is the powder measure activator. You need to adjust it to put enough bell on the case to hold a bullet.

You adjust the bullet column down into the toolhead a bit at a time until the unit releases a bullet into a properly flaired case. (Have a full column of bullets, as the weight tamps the bullet into the case so it doesn't tip.

The set screw is likely to hold the spring in the top of the column.

The fuse is likely a spare. The ball bearing is probably a mistake, a spare for the presses detent.

With the metal leaf pressed into the column (Like no bullet is present and pushing it out) does the unit run?

You look like you have the older KISS model, so there are some differences.

No, the unit does not run with the leaf spring either way.

SHort across the two leads and see if the unit runs. If not, your fuse may be gone. That of course presumes that your power supply is good, so a $9.99 multimeter is in order.

Got it!


Had a handful of problems that I had.

The die connector wiring was wrong, I had both wires running to the same port (there are two that are the same polarity), the other port was on the side of the microswich on the die.

I cut and resoldered the wire in question for a good connection.

The polarity was backwards on the AC adaptor.


As soon as the motor hummed to life, I tried it out.


HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS AWESOME!!!


It sorts the bullets so fast that I can barley keep track of the thing. I ran 200 through the unit without it attached to the press, and not a single bullet was dropped wrong. It is like magic.

I will see if I can get a video for those that have not seen it yet, it is a nifty little device, and surprisingly simple in operation.

The ball bearing is for the top of the collator, goes in the hole to the right of the rotating area. It rides on the bullets as they go by.

Glad to hear you got it going. Your 1050 will now produce over 2000 rounds an hour! Watch yourself, though - once I go that kind of throughput, I started getting tendinitis in my right arm and the only solution at that point was to go get the ponsness-warren motor.

I long ago lost count of how many rounds my Mr.Bulletfeeder has pumped out. It's run so smoothly and effortlessly, I frankly ignore it.

Today at long last, it puked on me. The cause was simple to fix.

I discovered it had stopped feeding bullets. When I investigated, there was a bullet trapped and the collator plate was stuck. It had blown the fuse in the process.

The cause was the lubricating oil left on the bullets I was using. The collator plate had gotten dirty enough to slow the bullets drop into the chute. Sixty seconds cleaning and it was back up and running.

I believe the list price has dropped and the quality has gone up on the second generation DAA partnered Mr.BulletFeeders. Here's one customer who isn't regretting paying more.
