Are these savages any good? NOW WITH PICS!

Each to their own. I was goind to buy the MD21 chasis and throw a REM SPS in it but this was cheaper and came with a better rifle. You're the first guy to say you don't like the way it looks. To me lever action rifles are retarded and are for very OLD people, but you seem to like them. We all have different tastes. Here is what my car actually looks like:

I think my new rifle will match it nicely..

Sorry, but if the Savage was a car this is what it would look like;

IMO, you had it right the first time with the Tikka. Savage just looks like it's trying too hard.

No disrespect intended. To each their own, I just think there is something to be said for simplicity and understatedness(word?) take the M40A1 rifle as an example compared to the direction modern Platforms are evolving to.

I just didn't want something that looked like every other bolt action out there, and was not wanting to wait 5 months for a custom stock. This was the best choice in my opinion.

I pressed the next page button to see if this flame war was going to get heated and it cut out the Pocahontas song half way through, and for what? Christ.

OK finally after some screwey confusion:p I got her all together for some pics. Scope should be here in a week or two, Viper 6.5-20.

This is a pretty solid piece of kit at 13.5lbs it weighs as much as a Barrett! Love the length of pull, this is the only rifle I wont need to extend LOP on that I own, and the trigger is very crisp. Going to enjoy the 10rd mag too:)

Will add a range report hopefully in a couple weeks.

found some at Proline Shooters. $8 lol.

Thats good, I bet you can't wait to get some rounds down range. Post some pics, I am sure you will like how it shoots, like I said I shot that same rifle with Fed Gold Medal 168 gr and was very impressed with the accuracy. I am sure with tuned loads it will shoot better.

Yea I still need a scope lol, I stole the Viper from my Tikka for a test fit for now lol
