Varmint Load for .30-06

But if you shoot the Remington Accelerators, then you are only shooting a .223 (.224 actually). NOT a 30 calibre.

Years ago I tired Accelerators in the .30/06 and was less than impressed. If you shoot in an area that limits rounds larger than the .270, you will have to choose a smaller caliber to be in compliance. Shooting Accelerators doesn't change the fact that they come out of a .30 caliber pipe. Besides, they aren't accurate enough to hit anything small enough to justify using them, and even if you can still find them, they will cost far more than they are worth.

a hole in a coyote is a good thing. you would not see me hesitate AT ALL shooting a coyote with a 220 gr round nose from my 308 as long as it might die and give our poor deer and rabbits and basicalyy everything a chance at life so be it... but my 260 95 gr vmax work better

I called around for prices. BPS had one manufacture, and it was almost $30 per box. My local shop does not / will not carry them. Having also checked out lebaron's prices before I began this thread

- I think I'll just keep using deer weight/load...

Ahhhhhh, the light shines through, grasshopper. ;)

Varmint or hunting loads, you are still shooting a 30-06.
