Just got this baby. Full set with Smith and Bender scope.
Trying to find out helpful info on best loads for Lapua Magnum .338.
I found a lot of info and sometimes contradictory as well.
I intend first to shoot it at 960 yards.
Money is not an issue.
Any one here who can help me out with loads and bullet weight and what kind as well?
Thank you, gentlemen.

I'm using 104gr US869 powder, 215GM primers, and 300gr Sierra Match Kings. seems to work for me. go with a slow powder and experiment, hopefully your shoulder and cheek bone will forgive your trigger finger.

Tell us about this Smith & Bender you have acquired? I hear they are better than Lightforce and Disleica scopes :p

Last weekend I shot it my first time @ 300 m, was cold outside , snowing and slightly windy, my load was 92 grains of H 1000 with 250 grains of Acubond Nosler.
10 shots with grouping about 6 inches.(shooting it first time I blame myself on poor accuracy)
Will try N 560 with SMK 300 Gr this weekend , if weather permits.
Will keep you posted.
Cheers

Shot it again this weekend 310 yards.
Used 300 Gr SMK, original Lapua brass.
Used 3 different powders: RL 25, H 1000 and N 560.
3 rounds by 5
Weather +2C, almost no wind, humid.
Best group was with N 560 about 1 inch, worst with RL 25.
If any 1 interested I can share my gunpowder loads.
Cheers.
