i think thats what its called. i just bought the norinco hp9 with the 14 inch barrel and if i remember right it only holds 3 shells +1 in the chamber. id like to let it hold 1 more, i searched google and came up dry, is this one of the 90% of parts that work from a remington 870? and where is the cheapest place to get one, thanks

Your magazine tube will hold 4 shells of the size the gun was designed to shoot and one in the chamber.

You would be well served to install a one round extension for a total of five rounds in the mag tube and one in the chamber. A better magazine spring will be required as well. An extra power spring.

thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it. i was trying to read up on this myself the other night trying to avoid a question that some might find dumb, i know that the hp9 has alot of parts that swap out with the 870, but when it came tothe shell tube extension it seems as if not all 870s were the same, something about dimples restricting extending the tube so i didnt want to get the wrong part.

also thats 4 shells in 2 3/4 right?

No ...after you drill or dremmel out the dimples in the mag tube it will hold 6 shells of 2 3/4 in ...I have a HP 9 with one round mag extension...there is some info and pics of mine here
