Not muddy at all, simply put, the 101's were originally made by Nikko, as was already mentioned.Clear as mud?
To add to the mystery the records of the Kodensha were always kept seceret because they were making and selling guns under contract with Winchester and selling some of them out the back door all over the world. All the early records of the Kodensha plant were destroyed. The Kodensha plant was in Tochigi,Japan.
Winchester, Browning and Beretta all owned by the same company. A couple of hundred other firearm and ammo brand names that would surprise you too, all owned by Cerubus.
I don't think you can lump Beretta in there - it is the oldest family owned business in the world...
Citori and the 101 are both made by Miroku, so are the later O/U's by Charles Daly.
Citori is made by Miroku. Not so with the 101. It used top be made by Nikki in Japan and then later by FN. I think that the Charles D used to be made by Miroku and now by FN. The rest of what you say seems to follow the sky is falling type books. I would sure like to see some reference documents for your post.
That's Nikko. Nikki is a girl I used to date.![]()

Uberti as well!Yes. I am not sure where "Twistedbrilliance" is getting his info from but evidently Google is not his friend. Beretta is family owned. Part of the family consists of Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Uberti, Sako, Tikka, Burris optics and also Steiner optics. Also 20% of F/N Herstal. If I have missed any please add them to the list.
DANG!! I'm getting old, ugly , AND blind!!!
