I have a new Renissance in 12 ga ordered but its not in yet. Anyone out there using one? Whats your opinions? I plan to put a lot of shells through it at sporting clays.

Did you buy the field model or the sporting model.the field model has a alloy receiver and is light weight.ment to be carried lots and shot little.the sporting model has a steel receiver and is a heavier gun ment to soak up the recoil of repeated shots on a clays course.

Dealer has about a half dozen coming in,an Elite, sporting, etc. I put down my deposit so Ill pick one when they get here. The light one wouldnt stand up to a lot of shooting,or just the shoulder? I shoot a Citori now,no experience with Franchi, are they a good gun?

I've shot numerous models of Franchis shotguns for about 35 years, and loved every one of them.
never had one break on the line or in the bush.

I have two Franchis, both field guns, both have alloy recievers. If I was choosing a sporting specific gun I would go with the steel reciever, for a hunting or even dual purpose I would use the alloy recievers. Both of mine have worked flawlessly from day one, and I will likely buy another in the future. Good luck with yours!
