Friendly advice needed.

Hey all,

I need your help with something. I have Listed my Rem 700 SPS in 204 Ruger. It is wearing a HS stock and has been bedded and trigger tuned by ATRS. I am asking $650 for it. Am I out to lunch with my price? Or is the .204 Ruger just a hard sell?

I moved the add to the Hunting and Sporting Arms EE and have had less interest than I did in the Precision Rifles EE.

Here is the add: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=569541

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just be patient. Someone will eventually be on the look out for a 204 and your gun is priced well. I have listed a few guns on the EE that I REALLY wanted to move quick so that I could gather funds to buy a particular NEW gun. I would intentionally list it a few hundred dollars below what the going rate was just to move it quick. Both times I have tried this I did not sell my guns....even though the price was great...there was no buyer out there at that time that wanted my particular gun in the caliber it was.

On both occasions the gun I was after sold..so I removed my guns I had up for sale.

The point is that you should stick to the price that YOU want for your gun an d it will get picked up sooner or later

Another good way to spread the word about your gun is to include it in your signature..With a link to your EE items. That way even if a potential buyer has not discovered your add in the EE they might notice it in your signature.

this is an absolute good deal, and that comes from a guy that has 0 interest in 204 ruger.

If I wasn't already knee deep into payments, I'd say hold it for me, 4000 fps 20cal here I come

204 has the same bolt face as a 223. It i a friggen steal for someone wanting to use it for a 223 build. AND they could sell the barrel for $150 and recover some cost.
