The uppermost black dot is beside my first shot. The others in the black are my best shooting results, after adjusting the rear sight.
The circled two shots to the EDIT; left, are shots taken when the stockbolt came loose without my knowing it, and the last group.
Shotgun is this Ithaca Model 87 Deerslayer Police Special II, using the iron factory sights.
Ammunition was 12 gauge, Winchester Super-X 1 ounce foster slug, @100 yards from a bench.

I wonder what you fellas think of this?
I really believe I could not have shrunk this group much more, or if at all. (besides the gun problems)

I think you mean the last two shots to the left, not the right. And is that at 100 yards? Pretty good, I'd say... if I can do that well at 100 yards with my M37, I'd be happy.

Just curious, was this done by taking your time with each shot, or did you try to get one in after the next? And just the standard recoil pad, I'm assuming.

Yes, I meant the ones to the left for the last group pope face.......sorry, my bad.
With the standard recoil pad, the lower/best group was actually shot with only about 3 seconds pause between.
When the shots first started going off-side again, I slowed down my shooting. Then I discovered the loose part.
I did work today & had things to do at home before it was too dark to do them. So I rushed a few shots.
