5-Round Stripper Clips For 7.62x39 Ammo

Ok,so I tried with my sks's{I hate "F"ing around with live ammo at home..but} My chicom sks will drop the 6th rd as you guys mentioned. My 54 Izzy will only strip 5 off the clip when I charge w/10rds everytime! Push 10,5 lock into mag leaving 5 on the clip. I think some shimming on top of the chicom sks pinned mag will solve it's issues relatively easily:D....will report back as to how I make out.

negative..

another reason not to go 5 round clips, is the last round can be a pain the get in sometimes why would you wanna do that twice?

As I found out by accident today, you actually can (sort of). I was loading my SKS, a six round actually made it part-way into the magazine. So I pulled back the bolt and let it cycle forward (just to see if it would), but the sixth round simply caused it to jam (pinned between the side of the chamber and the bolt). The bolt didn't want to come back, so I began to open up the magazine and when I did the bolt came flying forward and very nearly caught my thumb, caught my glove on the end of my thumb instead. Since the round chambered then, I just re-latched the magazine, and fired the 6 rounds. The sixth round falls off all the time, but that was the one and only time it ever actually made it into the magazine (albeit only sort-of).

Now of course that I've admitted that my SKS actually held a sixth round in its magazine once (despite improperly and only making the gun jam), the RCMP will probably be pounding on my door at 2am to confiscate all my guns and drag me away like the evil baby-eater I am
