I am a lefty and I always want to get an Ambidextrous Charging Handle. I have been looking online for a long time but none of them ship to Canada. Does anyone know whether there is any dealer willing to sell it to Canadian? Any brand is good.

Isn't the standard charging handle pretty much ambi as it is?
I generally operate the handle with my left hand and never have an issue so.....?????

That is a great charging handle but Brownells won't ship it up here, even though it's under $100.
I keep trying but they always tell me NO. If you can get one please order 2

For lefty using ambi: I can just use my right hand only to pull the right side of the handle (there is also a button) without pointing the rifle away from downrange.
If not using ambi, I have to point my gun away from down range (usually aiming downwards) so my right hand can pull the handle from both side, which is less effective.

Point is it seems easy to use with either hand so I am curious what the issue is. Is an ambi handle just a gimmick or does it add value?

Well, what you say can apply to mag release or safety. Nothing is really hard but it is less effective for lefty.

I am interested if there would be an advantage for me when working around the left side of a barricade with the rifle on my weak side....might be worth thinking about...
I'm not a lefty but if I was I think I would just buy a Stag lefty rifle and be done with it

I just recived a DPMS charging handle with an oversized latch plus an MOE trigger guard from Brownells. If they can ship the latch with the charging handle I can't see why they can't just ship the latch.
Odd. I suppose the manufacturer isn't registered.
