Whats the hardest kicking gun you ever fired?

Shooting my rem 870 super mag with 2 oz Turkey loads through a x-tra full turkey choke....with the factory stock, hard rubber buttpad. I bought a limbsaver recoil pad after about a dozen shots, I said enough is enough.

My Rem mod 700 BDL in .300 win mag, with a factory rubber buttpad was a pretty sharp kicker also, but the 870 with turkey loads would shake your head so much, you felt almost concussed.

Hardest kicking gun I've ever fired was a Rem. 700 in .416 Remington. Was dumb enough to pull the trigger twice off a bench...Then I decided I was done :D

Carl Gustaf anti tank, prone position in the Shilo desert....was pickin sand outa my face for days. Non hand held would have to be m109 SP 155 howitzer.

My H&R single shot 12 gauge. I bought it when I was 15 for $15.00.

I recently shot some Trap with it and man my shoulder remembered shooting ducks with the gun 50 years ago. The 500 S&W runs a close 2nd.

Take Care

I can somewhat relate... Never got to rock-n-roll with the Carl-G though, only maul it...

hand-held = .50AE Desert Eagle
non h/h = M101 105mm Howitzer

Husqvarna 1900 .300 win mag.

Super light gun, and snappy caliber. Recoil is not such a push, but more of a "snap" into your shoulder. I can fire about five rounds at the range before getting tense. A .458win ruger no1 was much easier.

With that said, I don't feel a thing when I shoot it at a deer.

Freakin' Maverick 88. 3" slugs out of the 18.5" barrel, good Lord. I had just put 50 2.75" target loads through my Browning semi-auto and thought I was "broken in", but that Mav left me plain "broken".

My dads 378 WBY mark V with no brake, off the bench. He said, "It kicks pretty good, you know, but ya gotta make the gun your #####!" Crazy old man.:)

405 Grain hot-loaded 45-70. That sucker could have taken down a bull elephant. :D

Yup, ina Ruger #3 to boot!!
CRAP that hurt!!
However, after I shortend the stock on Oldbadger's TRGs in 338 lapua, I didn't realize just how much recoil that rifle had, and it blackedn both my eyes!
Before that, he couldn't shoot it, but I did not mind the recoil of the standard length stock to much.:HR:
