I'm sure "WE All" have had those days when going to the range was a waste of good ammo and time!
Just remember, practice makes perfect and when your not spot on with trigger control group size confirms you should have stayed home.

haha ya im sure we have all had those days as well.. i dont think it was a waste of time or ammo, i love shooting and its never a waste of me.. im just ranting cuz it all went for ####s right as i swaped to handloads.. if i had started out terrible with factory i wouldnt have cared haha at leasts its a few degrees warmer at home and i can make my self feel better by buying things off the internet

Those days can sure be a test of one's confidence and as already said, I'm sure we all have them. As frustrating as they are, I try to look at it as a learning opportunity to figure out what I'm doing wrong/different. Maybe it's me, my reloads, the gun but almost always it ends up being me when/if I do figure it out. I try different things to compensate, as in a modified grip, shorter wait times from sight to shot, or whatever you can think of that might help. It's great when you can get back into the groove but sometimes you'll just end up going home without any answers. Precision shooting is challenging and there are days when I just can't blame it on the wind. :)

CRYBABY! :p

Serves you right for making it to the range today when I was stuck at work!

Ohh yah forgot to say Karma is a B!TCH! Might be for all the bragging earlier today when you were shooting under 1 MOA with factory crap ;)

Hopefully I can make it out with you next weekend if its nice out!

Lol nope no flinch here! I'm pretty sure the colds what did it. I stopes for some food for about 20 min and it was all down hill from there so I think I realiZed how cold I was gettin and I got to the shivering. it takes a hell of alot more then a lil .308 for me to flinch my tikka .338 wm doesn't even do it haha

Thanks for lettin me rant lol

Ps Brodie I will send u more pics of my awesome factory groups later haha! Screw you and your moly coat

ya i try not to think about the last shot, hell i dont even mind shooting a bad group here and there, im by no means a compititive level shooter and dont expect to shoot like one, but man does it suck to shoot great with factory ammo all morning then swap to ammo you know shoots better but every thing goes for a #### lol

hahah well iv got that part figured out!

sad thing is i used to be a competitive shooter, shot in the BC summer games 3x, then i took a hiatus from it while i got other things in life goin, and have only been back into the sport for the last year or so

hugging the gun a little hard?

What do you mean?
It is a genuine question! I'm not at all the best shooter in the world but this weekend I have probably had the worst results on the paper ever. I still haven't figured it out yet, but if you litterally mean holding the gun too hard that might be it. I was shooting with a new coat which is pretty puffy...
