Mount the nightforce

Thanks guys for your input, I'll have a look at the tps rings I see there are a couple different models. I don't think it would be a problem to change out the cross bolt on the burris to some thing a bit stronger, only needed on a large caliber with the heavy scope.

I use n/f rings and base on my n/f and then lapped them to fit. That been said it did not require much lapping but when spending a couple thou on a scope whats a few hundred more for good quality rings. p/s I use lots of leupold rings also and they seem alright thanks

I have used a set of the Burris rings with offset inserts on one of my F-Class guns for a few years now with no issues. Even won a few matches with them......must be crap though since everyone on the interweb says so......guess I should get rid of mine.

i have used the opti locks for over 10 years on many guns - zero issues

Same here NF rings for NF SCOPE.

A Nightforce technician advises that they have had issues with plastic inserts due to heavier weight.

I have my Nightforce mounted on a Near Alphamount. Nooo problem

Thanks Peter, good answer from NF. I have used some big scopes with the Opti-lock with no issues BUT I haven't shot the 50 or 338 LM in this regard. Good stuff.
