Here is my take on why you should own one.
My CZ 452 Varmint. 1 shot kills all day long. Very satisfying when playing 'John Lee Swagger' Gopher Sniper Cost of CZ and mags and scope 1200.00
My 10/22 is not nearly as accurate but, when playing John RAMBO more lead more dead bang bang bang bang dead.... well, it's hard to dispute the amount of fun that is.
It all depends on where your headspace is at on any particular outing. So I always bring both
A 10/22 is the smallblock chevy of the semi auto 22's out there. Box stock, they are good, but not great. But since there are so many aftermarket parts out there, at less cost than similar mods on another semi auto, you can make a pretty good one for not much cheddar.
The crux is, to get a 10/22 to outshoot a CZ you will be cheaper in the long run just to buy a CZ by the time you throw shilean/dlask/volquartsen catalogs at the 10/22.
But then, you would be missing the whole point of the excercise.
You don't need 2 -.22 rifles. But it is great fun to have both.
