Well now that you are here it shouldn't be too hard to start shooting with other like minded people. What are your shooting interests? I'm not on the island but have shot/hunted there frequently. I am sure you could hook up quite easily with some of the shooters on the island. Lots of good gun clubs there. Good luck!

though I live in nanaimo, I make pqfg my home.
I concur with buying a mbrship there. its a good place to shoot, with good ppl. and the drive is ok.
