I shot a 300wm for quite a few years when i was younger --literaly 100s of rounds, all 150gr hornady bulk slugs. Crank em up to about 3300 and when you want to reach out and touch something, it'll do it with great authority.
Was my go-to gun for trophy hunting as it would break bone on anything that i didn't want to go very far and believe me wether it was a coyote or deer,elk,sheep or moose they never did. If you get one in em it will do enough damage that you will catch it.

Being from the Rock you will probablly want to hunt a moose or two and my experience tells me that I wouldn't hesitate to use those 150s if I was you.

removed, I no longer have these bullets, (sold them in EE) I wasn't really comfortable with them for a 300 win mag but I thank each and every one of you for your advice. Thank you, Pat.
