I really liked the look of Bravo 18 AKM flash hider I saw on the net a few months ago. They don't make one for the VZ, so I had one made for myself. It turned out larger than I realized, as I tried to mimic dimensions I saw in pictures. It wouldn't look bad with a VZ quad rail.

NEA hurry up with your quad rail and that neat FALesq gas block you've been talking about already!!!!:D

Haven't had a chance to test it yet. I expect it to work OK, but we'll see. Looks mean from the front though!:)

That is really creative. Great work. Can we get zoomed out pic of it on the rifle. Please make a video of it in action too.

Just to clarify, it's not my design, at all. I first saw it on the Bravo 18 web site.

Wow, looks good Clobb! does it provide any braking or compensation? Let us know how well it works

No, but the device does have a longer "bore" before the cuts start, so it may help gas dwell time a bit, but I could be wrong. If I had to do it again I would make the diameter about 1/3 smaller. It should be plenty loud!

Shiny.

What does that beast weigh?

Ah, nothing a little high temp flat black paint on the outside won't cure.

I don't want to measure the weight. It's heavy! So who knows, maybe it will help with muzzle flip.:D If it works OK I might get the flats machined down a bit to make the diameter smaller. I really had it made to satisfy my curiosity of it works well or not. I have my own designs on the go, but this one intrigued me enough to want to test it.

By the way Stevo , the new light mount works great. I tested it through 300 rounds and it never budged. I also tested the Surfire G2 during that sessionl. I didn't use a muzzle device (just the thread protector), I just turned the G2 on and started the session. The G2 worked great, no issues. It was dirty at the end of the session but wiped clean with a little windex.

Isnt it a left hand thread on the muzzle?
No, VZ is RH.

I meant "shiny" in the Firefly sense. It looks good.

That light mount is really nice on a carbine.
