My last 4 outings with my Foxpro 3, I have called in a double and 3 triples. Had a double early thismorning, but they come in from where i didnt expect them to be and they sniffed me out before i noticed them. Spotted them a few seconds too late. Lunch time, called in a trio of mutts near the same place but played the wind smarter and got one of them. Just got in from the 3rd try today and called 3 more up out of the coulees and got this one

So i have to start taking an extra shooter. DeadMeat, get off the couch and bring that triple deuce up into the hills:p

Time for a semi-auto!

Great job shooting em, but you're educating the ones that get away. Back-up would be a help too!

Ive had them come in after a shot.. rarely but it does happen here in Ontario.
If you shoot one through the lungs and it howls or yelps after the shot, you can be sure more will come to see what the comotion is all about.

Dont forget when you call out west, you might have several from different distances hear the call and they all come to investigate.
Hopefully the more distant ones at 500 yards or more never even hear the shot so stay loaded and ready.:D

Ive a friend who says he gets up to seven coming to a call... from all angles.

Best of luck!!..:)

Went out with with Sksavenger today, saw 1 fox no chance for a shot. Was not a great day as the wind was picking up. Butchered a beef this morning so i have a gut pile now. Things should pick up as the coyotes are getting more agressive as the long winter holds on. Deer are moving into farm yards looking for grub and the pups follow along.

They can sneak up on you in open country if you concentrate to hard on where you think the will come from. In thick wooded areas a shotgun is your friend, it`s good to hunt with a partner to watch your back. Also gives you someone else to blame things on if shots are missed.;)

Check out the BAR shorttrac 243's. You can convert them to detachable mags and you can drill the stopper on the mag so it holds 5 instead of 4. Also very accurate guns. 58gr V-max work really good in them.

To tell the truth Sksavanger doesn`t really need a semi, just looking for an excuse to buy one. :p Well maybe he could use the suburban with the folding roof and the mini gun that pops up. Saw it on a Dillon site, might need tracks on it to get in the fields. Would keep him busy reloading all that brass.

Haha...you got me figured out. Just like using my upcoming bear hunt as an excuse to buy a 375.
