Something for the Mini-14 Fans

Awesome, a Mini-14 that looks like an ACR, may add some appeal to the whole Mini-14, I would pick one up, if mags became more available, price tag?

Looks alright, and will definitely help with optics options. Can't seem to find any real info or video on installation/removal, although in one vid they mentioned a spring plunger behind the trigger guard to allow takedown ala the factory stock.

Even though it doesn't scream BUY ME, if the price is right I'd definitely have one just for the top rail.

Found some more info...

Hello all, Mike from Archangel here. Wanted to stop in and answer any questions you might have regarding the new Archangel Sparta stock for the Mini-14/30. Yes, the Sparta has been shown to the public a little early. But I will defend that it is a good product and we are not that far off from production. I hope you will try one out.

I wanted to mention that due to the cost of manufacture of aluminum flip sights that they retail for close to $100 each... So a set of sights like those on the Sparta video are around $200 retail for the set. We could not offer the sights included and still be a worthwhile product for a manufacturer without charging at least $400 retail. There might be a deluxe package that includes sights in the future, but that is up to marketing... At the basic price of $249, the end user can choose their own sights (which they might already have) or go with telescopic or electronic.

The takedown of the Sparta is much easier than you would think. you remove the four cap screws, slide the top rail forward about a quarter of an inch and pull upward. The trigger group removes as normal with the addition of the spring loaded gap filler behind the trigger guard. Additionally, I have removed and reinstalled the top rail multiple times with no loss of zero. The top rail interlocks to the lower in multiple locations and is precision aligned by the cap screws that fix it in place. The stock is a precision fit and locks the action into place. We have seen a consistent 25% increase in accuracy from initial testing, and expect it to get even better before we go to full production.

Sounds pretty good so far.

$249 eh? So a Non-Restricted Tacticool .223 for about $1200? Not bad compared to what else is out there, i.e. XCR, SL8, AR180 which are all pretty up there in price...not bad promag, not bad.

So who's going to import these for the Mini club?

I noticed these in the shot show review. Looks like a nice piece of kit. If prices remain around the same I would definately pick one up. I hate the ATI stock that I currently run, the plastic rails and that damn loose as all hell buttstock, ugh.
