I think he just jammed it in there. There's no way it is a Famae variant and even those don't use AR mags. The part that gets me is the lower looks dicked with towards the front but there's no way that thing is seated and I doubt it works.

Just found another pic of this. Its apparently from Brazil. That lower looks different from any 540 - 550 series I've seen. Front takedown pin is missing as well. Looks like some kind of catch is welded onto the spine of the mag. Is it even possible that this abortion could actually work?

Pretty sure Galil mags are plastic. I'm not saying metal ones don't exist though. I've never seen one myself is all.

There are plenty of steel Galil mags. But this is an AR mag with a weld on. There is no room for side plates, therefore this is not a real Galil mag.
