The .375 H&H (1912) and the 9.3x62 Mauser (1905) have a long history of use in Africa. The .338 Win is a modern American cartridge (1958) and is a favorite with many elk hunters.
Any of these cartridges are more than enough for elk & moose so it will come down to personal preference. I have been eyeballing the .338 Federal myself. At 200+/-, it would be a fine elk & moose round.
