I am shocked at the poor quality. That is unacceptable for a Swiss Made gun.

I've looked at all those links and they are just people relating hear-say. I've seen nothing more conclusive than what I've read in this thread

I will say that there is some shoddy quality being demonstrated, but, as for being made in Vietnam, I see nothing but a rumour being perpetuated with no evidence.

For 2 grand? heck with that. Grab an LMT Defender for about 1700 bucks. (and you KNOW LMT is top of the line)

Or you can get the MRP with the barrel change system for about 2200 from questar. Or even a PWS piston driven carbine for 2 grand.

For a bone stock AR15 (no matter the quality) 2 grand is a LOT. I might get a HERA upper/lower since they are beautifully made billet uppers and lowers, and probably still keep it under or around 2 g's.

Absolute bullsh*t. There's no way the one I looked at was made in Viet Nam. Fitting was very close to perfect (looked to be a mated upper to lower) and finish was very, very good indeed. They're just too well fitted and finished to be third world (I own a Norc, an Armalite lower and have owned a Colt AR, I know he difference). Looking at the photos, it looks like someone is marking up Norc rejects with Astra markings, there is no way that came from the same place as the one I looked at.
