Just wondering what your guys opinions are on this scope???
I have a Tikka T3 HB Varmit 22-250 and am planning on putting a 4.5-14x42mm on it.
I have a Barska 6.5-20x50mm on there now in Burris Zee Medium's.
How much higher will the objective bell of 42mm sit above barrel then the 50mm in the same medium rings any idea?
Thanks for info boys!!

I bought one and liked it so much I got another with the ballistic plex. I also have two bausch and lomb from years back they are also excellent. My last was a trade for a Leupold 3.5 x10 boone and crocket which I havent used much but seems great, but is pricey. I also recently bought a leupold 2x7 vx11 but didnt realize it had such a short barrel which makes it hard to position on my long actions. For the money the Burris is hard to beat.

One of the best kept secrets in low to mid tier optics. Amazing bang for the buck and have the Elite 3200 beat for clarity and low-light gathering ability.
Buy one used for 200$ and they get even sweeter!

I have 4 in 3-9x40. Yes 4. They are a great scope for the money. Probably your best bang for your buck at that price. I have to say I wont be buying any more though. Next rifle gets something different. Only because I don't want every rifle i own to have the exact same scope.

I have a Burris Fullfield Tac30 4.5-14x42 on my 700 VSF. I think I used low rings. It sits very close to the barrel. Mediums would probably be a nice height. Mine is on a .223 so I think the clearence is fine. The 42mm's look nice too. i find 50mm's look huge on a lot of rifles.

I have 3 of the 3-9x 40mm with Ballistic plex. In fact it was the first scope I bought.

Excellent simple scope for the price (Wait till they are on sale, about $200).

95% light transmission. You have to go to the 4200 for that. I prefer the ballistic plex over the Bushnell Elite reticle choices as well.

Here's where one of them has ended up:

On the EE.
I recently sold one of my 3-9X with ballistic-plex reticle for 175$ on here. It had been hunted hard with and had a couple dings but the glass was great.

I saw an ad in the dealers area. Don't remember which company. It was out of Alberta, was a dealer but not one of the major sponsor dealers. Sorry don't recall which one.

They were also on sale at Wholesale sports for $200. That changed in January though and the price went back up.
