I have a Tasco 2.5-10x 42mm given to me freely by a great CGN member. It's mounted with 10$ Redfield scope rings on a Savage Mark II BTV. Great accuracy, 2 thumbs up here. With this experience, I'll never put more than 150$ on a scope for a rimfire. It's not the recoil that will kill it, there is not really what can be called recoil to kill a scope on this
My friend has the Bushnell 4-12x 40mm w/ AO, 90$ at LeBaron, if I have to get a new one, I would get that one, great scope on his 10/22.
I have a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot on my 10/22. 160$ in Canada, 90$ down south on the other side of the border. Got it from my gf for my B-Day.
Save some $$ and offer yourself a100$ more expensive riffle or a bipod with what you would be saving.
