This 760 started out as a .308 which i had converted to a .223 back in the late eighties. They were popular in southern ont. at that time for hunting coyotes with hounds.A gunsmith in southern ont. did the work and i have quite abit into this gun and have hardly used it since. If i sell i don't expect to get all my money back of course, but i'm wondering if there is still much demand for this gun.It has a stainless barral which the smith said was made by a canadian called mcllelan if i remember correctly. Two mags which were hard to come by and a trigger job which lightened it up considerably.I really have mixed feelings about selling but i'm not getting any younger and have begun parting with firearms that are not seeing much use.If anyone has an opinion i would appreciate it.This rifle is in pretty good condition with less than 200 rds through the barral and reworked action.Thanks.

Not the same thing, but I have seen factory .222 and .223 760's go for over $1000. You have a unique rifle and a quality barrel on it, and should have no problem selling it.

Thanks for the reply.Yes it is a bit unique and functions 100%.I wish i knew what fair value is as i really don't want to embarass myself on the ee.Would rather not lowball myself either.

Thats a nice rifle, apparently the originals have some collector value.
I use an original 760/223, but like yours it would be difficult to place a value.
Reason being, unlike yours which looks really sharp, mine although in good condition has plenty of "battle scars".... ;)

Your gun has the best made stainless steel barrel made in Canada in my opinion , I have 3 of Rob Mcllenan's barrels and would buy wore if he made some chrome moly ones up! Great gun , your barrel is worth a few bucks, aound $400 new nowadays! Nice conversion for the coon hunter of wolf killer's! Cheers Dale Z!

I wouldn't mind having it! I have a factory 223 in VG condition, and don't use it so it stays tht way. That one I would use!

BTW .... Those mags are worth $100 each.

.

Thanks for all the replys.Yes i had been told years ago that the mags could go that high.I think i know what i would ask for the rifle, now i have to decide if i am going to separate emotion from logic and actually sell it.I would like to get a nice beretta o\u for clays but if i do that something else has to go.
