Has anyone shot both Sellier & Bellot and the Ruag ammo from Florida? I've gotten some nice groups from my SKS with the Sellier & Bellot 7.62X39, in 123 grain commercial ammo, but it's a bit pricey. Wholesale Sports has non-corrosive commercial ammo imported from Florida by Ruag for $19 a box, in 125 grain. Has anyone shot the stuff and how did you find it?

Ruag anything tends to be pretty good stuff, but so is the S&B. Out of the firearms they're being shot from I'd say your performance is going to be pretty close; buy whichever one is less expensive.

($1/shot for 7.62x39? Yikes!)

Hey AK

American Lockpicker, Ruag imports ammo from an outfit in Tampa Bay, Florida, and it's sold at Wholesale Outfitters in BC and AB for $19 a box.
AK, I've got two safes full of shootin' irons, lol, so by spreading the love around they all get fired but I don't spend the day blowing ammo through any one of them. That, and the job doesn't pay that badly, lol...
I also take meticulous care of my stuff, synthetic oil in the truck, the best cleaners and protective stuff for my firearms, etc, and unless I was getting together with some good ol' boys for a shoot and cook off, lol, I don't feel great about that corrosive ammo...

I think that you won't have any issues with any ammo if you take as good care of your stuff as you say. Corrosive ammo ain't the boogey man - and it cleans up fine with a little soap and hot water.

RUAG makes AK ammo?

What I have found from my box of RUAG 7.62x39 SP:
- on a box it reads MFS, imported by RUAG
- RUAG owns MFS Hungarian ammo manufacturer
- it seems MFS gets their 7.62x39 produced and packaged in Russia most likely Tula Cartridge Works
- inside the box I found a little label in Russian language saying "packaged by NNNN" where NNNN is an identification number.
- the cartridge approved in Canada by NRCAN under RUAG name

I was thinking it was Swiss. Looks like I'll stick with US or Finnish made ammo then.
