Anyone know where to get these stocks?? I'd like to get a 12.5" D.A. Grizzly barrel for my 870 Express and one of these shorter L.O.P stocks as well for when I'm backpacking/camping. I'm not into pistol grips stocks or folders so this seems like an ideal way to shorten my O.A.L. as much as possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

I got one recently for that very purpose. Works well, and they come with a good recoil pad. I got it at Epps.

I got mine from Brownell's and I believe they're available direct from Hogue as well.

Anyways I like mine but if I had to do it again I would consider grabbing a used wood stock and shortening it, and fitting up a Limbsaver.

I picked one of the 12'' LOP Hogue stocks for a 12.5'' barreled HP9 - didn't work out for me at all. My thumb, where it crossed over the top of the grip would slam into my nose when I was down on my cheek weld.
And I mean slam.

I guess it wouldn't be a problem if you kept your head up - but I prefer cheek to stock, and I just sold that 12'' LOP in the parts section.

I do love the feel of the Hogue stocks, though - the forend is still mounted, and a new stock in "factory length" will soon be in the mail for me.

I have one on my 590A1 and it seems too short in the casual range shooting I have done with it, but i have not shot it in a match yet. I really like the Hogue forend - that is a keeper.

Some folks in the US buy a Limbsaver slip on pad on top of the Hogue which gives you about 13" LOP which they claim is perfect, plus the extra cushion helps too.

The fix for that is fairly simple, just lay your thumb along the right side of the stock (left if you're left-handed...) And you'll never put thumb to nose again.

i had the same problem, my solution; a more aggressive stance, i did not want to change my grip as it feels more natural to me to put the thumb up. but a squared up stance was an impovement worth training for... it comes naturally the moment you start shooting on the go.

an Eagle butt pack will lift your face off the stock high enough so your shnozz doesn't get hit
