Need a new sling - Advice wanted

Well, since I bought a new rifle (a 96 in 9.3x57), I'm in the market for a new sling. Due to the plans I have for the rifle, a quick detach system won't work, so the sling will be for this rifle only.

I'm mostly concerned about using the sling as shooting aid and less as a way to carry the rifle. I remember reading in an old book (maybe O'Connor?) and the author mentioned a sling where you wrapped your arm though one part and twisted? I'm sure that didn't explain it at all, but I believe he called it a 3 point sling? The closest thing I've found in my search is a Ching Sling. It looks like what the author described (in theory), however, I don't want to be drilling an extra hole in my stock.
I guess I'm asking for opinions and thoughts.

You just need a normal sling to get more stability. Stick the forward elbow into the sling loop, apply outward pressure to take up the slack. Makes the setup less shaky.
 
I'm interested in a 3 point sling too.
Can't find one locally.
I've checked a few sponsors but haven't found anything yet.
Ebay has lots though.

These are great slings. I have a Galco on my Scout rifle, but use this on my CZ527. If I didn't already have the Galco Ching, I would buy another.

There's other manufacturers of this style of sling. Butler Creek has one for around $20, and Browning makes one (I have one on the 243), that's a little more (around $50).

My pal has one one on in Kimber, he's now talking like he's going to buy another one for his Weatherby. He realy likes them...
I would suggest that you go with the Brownell or Butler Creek over the Browning one that I have as it's double stitched leather and quite a bit stiffer that the other brands with a single layer of leather. The Browning is the nicest looking in my opinion though.
