LOL, I remember the hype machine that was behind it a few years back.

Was a kid at the time and thought it must be great to live in an era of such leaps in firearms technology.

Now older and wiser I am not surprised to see it put to a better use

My Browning A-Bolt stainless 1n .375 H&H worked ok with the BOSS attached, but would
make onlookers cringe upon firing it, especially on a covered firing line. I found that
I could tune the barrel harmonics with it, but it's not worth the hype that Browning spewed about it.
When working up sub-sonic 270 gr. loads for this rifle I found that the non-vented
muzzle weight worked better than the vented brake, so I left it this way. It's much
easier on the ears!

U guys complaining about the noise? Yeah it's noisy, but it works. I've had two Brownings with the Boss system, and I loved it. On the 300 WM I had it tuned for 3 different bullet types - range, deer and moose and it worked like a charm.

Did u read the manual?

Refer to the original post. The fine print in the manual says "For best results use as a paperweight."

Yes the Boss works very well if you shoot factory ammo... you can tune factory loads to shoot just as good as a hand load. It is very loud for anyone beside you when you touch it off... just like any other brake...

The BOSS did work, but it wasn't like it was the second coming or anything. I've seen it shave a little bit off of otherwise decent groups, and had some "results" on my own Browning A-bolt. Like a factory load that could dump 5 in 2" all of a sudden was able to dump 5 into like 1.75" after an afternoon of dicking around with it. Big whoop. I ended up just taking it off altogether and replacing with the thread cover, then tuning some handloads that would shoot M.O.A. and was much happier without the noise and eyesore.
