Just wondering if anyone knows of a website/store that one may be able to buy deactivated mililitary rifles, AK, Bren, Sten etc..... I see a few on the EE but nothing consistent. Thanks!

"...New ones are paperweights..." So are old dewats.
Collector's Source lists AK's($895), BRENs(2 grand), STENs($400), et al. A dewat Mosin-Nagant costs more than a functioning rifle.

the Collector's Source is a good place to start. You want old ones that #### & click. New ones are paperweights.

Every Dewat is a paperweight. I'm a ventriloquist and can make #### and click sounds on demand as well as semi and full auto burst sounds!
I can make a Daisy BB Gun sound like an MG42! :D

Ooookay. Older dewat firearms can be #### and click. Never understood the hate for dewatt firearms. Not your cup-of-noodles? Fair enough. If a Bren was really my thing I would probably fork out the dollars for a nice ####&click. No 12.* on my licence so sure not happening any other way!

...can we please not turn this into yet another B*tch fest about the merits for and detractions against dewats?

It's been made clear that some see them as nothing but junk because they can't shoot live ammo, while others see them as valuable relics of a time gone by.

Let's move on...

+1 there are merits to both sides. The enemy here is ignorant lawmakers.

Just to clarify your statement so no one is confused, and perhaps the way it should have read:

New and Old ones are paperweights and do not shoot.

I was actually moving more in an older-dewats-may-still-have-some-moving-parts-and-are-somewhat-more-interesting-than-new-dewats-which-are-solid-welded-and-much-more-paperweight-like kinda direction, but ok.
