Ruger 10-22 clips

try useing a magazine not a clip???

but no, the BC mags are a loose fit.. do u have the hot lips or steel lips version?

the hot lips (plastic feed ramps) suck and FTF after like 50 rnds threw them

I've got a single BC steel lip mag and a Shooter's Ridge plastic lip. The BC works great, the SR needed a lot of sanding to get it to even let the bolt close, let alone feed....not yet tested with live ammo.

But no, there's no adjustment aside from sanding or shimming the mags.

Snap it in, and then push it forward. (the base towards the end of the barrel)
Don't plug two mags together, the weight pulls down too hard.

There is a spring on the plunger that holds it in, you could maybe try and put in a stronger one?

I use 50 butler creek mags in the gopher patch and only have problems with some of the clear ones. The smoked colored one are all good. From what I've found, steel and plastic work the same for me. Average around 20000 rounds per year.

Anybody using the TI mags in aluminum? Any thoughts on their performance compared to the Butler Creek Steel Lips?

I could never get my TI aluminum mags to fit properly in my sr-22 even after constant adjustments and sanding. The rounds would never feed properly.

My Butler Creek Steel Lips fit perfectly and no feeding problems yet.

I put one layer of black electric tape on mine and they are just right. Before I just held the mag when shooting,no feeding probs, but tape is better and doesn't show..

Steel lips gave me the occasional ftf.

TI are worth the money. Just pay attention to the directions, Do NOT overtighten them. they take "tweaking" but once there , they work great. plastic are fine, alluminum are more money, add weight, pick your MAGAZINE. i would choose the TI plastic.
