Pistol Powder. Where do i start?

I will start reloading 9mm and .45ACP tomorrow. And i am wondering which powder i should start with? There are quite a few. Any info would be appreciated.

Try bullseye for both 9mm and 45 ACP. Unique is another good one, I use it in my 45 ACP its accurate but dirty burning. Bullseye saves you buying a lot of different powders and it works well for both.

W231 and HP38 work well for me in these and other calibres.

Titegroup works well for either. Charge sizes are small and it usually sells for a little less compared with other pistol powders.

I use & like Titegroup. I find it to be a nice clean burning powder. My experience with @231 & HP38 ( Which are actually the same powder marketed under different names ) is that it works well but can be somewhat smokey & dirty.
Bullseye would also be a good choice.

There are other powders that work well but I have not used them .

Since you are starting out & 45ACP is one you want to reload. CAUTION. Most cases are large pistol primers but Winchester has switched to small pistol primers. Trying to put a large primer into a small primer pocket is NOT a good idea.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep my eyes open for that.

Has anyone ever used Power Pistol from Alliant? Sounds good on the website.
