After doing a little looking around and some research it looks like sako's Bavarian Carbine is going to be hitting the shelves in North America Full tilt starting this April. The only downfall is I heard that these new sako carbines are pretty pricey.A girl at Stoeger said that they are starting at
$2800.00:eek:. What do you guys think about these rifles and the price?

Is any one lucky enough to already have one of these new sako 85 bavarian carbine rifles?

Pictures would be great:D

Thanks,WJ

I won't be buying one at that price and I can't see too many others willing to pay it.

If I wanted a fullstock that bad, I'd buy a CZ.

As much as I like the Sakos I own and have owned, my desire to own a Bavarian Carbine has a llimit. They shouldn't be substantially more than the full-sized Bavarian and if that price is correct there are other rifles I'd rather have.

the mannlicher version is not even on the booking order so only a special order at a special price ....

Well I heard that come April they are going on the shelves, however I also heard that beretta only imported a few certain cartridges in these carbine rifles.

I have a Sako Bavarian in a 300WSM and I love that rifle.single set trigger, best wood i've seen on a sako bavarian EVER and it will go 5 shots @ 100 yards with a grouping of 0.75",bought the rifle BNIB and payed $1500.00 for it which included the tax(Thank you Shooting Edge)

A sako bavarian carbine in a 6.5 x 55 would be classy,however for $2800.00 I'll be buying another cooper custom classic instead:D
