A little bird told me that Mr. Litz has just finished his BC measurements of the Matrix 190 Match bullet and it came out with .673 G1 and .344 G7

Those are some impressive numbers! Only in Canada too!

the 107 6mm's are identical in BC to the Sierra 107 MK for BC in their non-pointed form too!

I've had some email conversation with Marshal at Matrix bullets, and he told me that the 190gr requires a 9" twist for stability. He also told me that it cannot be recommended for hunting use, because it has not been tested for such an application. That doesn't mean that it wouldn't work, just that it cannot be endorsed by the manufacturer.

That is pretty impressive. The best part to me besides being in Canada which is a HUGE plus; is that fact that it in factory form the existing meplat is .070 which is .010 larger then the Berger. Do you know how exciting it is knowing that you can point these bullets down to the same meplat dia as you can pointing the Bergers, approx .040 and you can use the 7wsm or preferable the 7RSAUM to run them at speeds.

I have a box of the .308 Cal 210gr VLDs (BC1 of .752, OH MY SCIENCE, HOW IS THIS DONE) and as soon as I get a scope and get my .300 Win Mag back from Mystic (awesome btw) I'll do a full write up after a load development. That's a while down the road, sadly.

I'll compare drop with drop tables at various ranges. Barrel will be 30" bull with 1/10 twist by Shilen, I'll be using Retumbo powder, that should yield me very impressive velocities without going too hot.

Outstanding!

I have been using these with a Krieger I got from Ian

29 inches, 1:8.5 twist, excellent results at 3000 fps. Marshall's bullets are excellent. I have found a benefit to pointing, but depending on the use they shoot very well out of the box. Pointing them to 50% of the exisiting Meplat (adds 5 thou in length) gives me 2.5 additional MOA elevation as measured at 300 meters

The "actual" BCs for the .210 are .637 g1 and .236 g7 from Mr. Litz. Pointing voids the warranty :)

Not to hijack this thread but my understand of the .30 cal 210 is that the G7 is slightly higher then both the Berger G7 .323 and Sierra G7 .316 current offerings. .236 is more representative of the 155 offerings... Suffice to say the Man from Matrix could be really busy producing his line of bullets.

Marshall from matrix is not only a superp bullet maker, he is also a damned fine precision shooter and all around great guy.

If he becomes so busy that he takes as long as Berger to make bullets, I may be sorry i mentioned this :) Seriously, his bullets are impressive.

Presumably a misprint and it ought to be .336 G7?

Interesting to see that the 190/7mm outperforms the 210/.308.

Marshall have you considered making a scaled-up version of your 190/7mm in .308? If it is something "manufacturable", one would expect a .308 bullet of about 242 grains bullet weight and BCs 0.729 G1 and 0.373 G7.

If "long" quality jackets were available I would consider a long heavy weight slippery .308
