28's

Not sure. Could've been internet rumor. I understand that they make guns for several other company as well. If I find it, I'll post it up.

HELL...YEA...I went there :)

I think it would work quite well if they introduced an IPSC event where shooters could use this for busting short range clays hurled out in different presentations. Or perhaps use that for hunting over Pointers as that would make it a bit more challenging. :D

Not having looked at Taurus's site, I'm assuming that the handgun may be choked to a degree?

Frankly, when I first noted the advertised weight of that shotgun, I was quite skeptical in visualizing the dynamics of handling such a light field model even for a 28. However, my perception shifted rather quickly when I had an opportunity to properly inspect the shotgun - needless to say, that little gun is balanced very nicely and would be an excellent tool particularly for Woodcock/Quail/Ruffed Grouse as well as for jumpshooting pudddle ducks.
It does balance nicely but having shot a round of skeet with one I found it way too light for my liking.

Something from 5.5lbs to close to 6lbs would've been far nicer for both field as well as informal clay. Benelli probably had 80yr old Upland tromping gents in mind when they designed the Legacy.

I am a big fan of the 28 gauge. My favourite 28 shotguns are my ,AYA Model 3A side by side,Franchi 48AL autoloader and my Ithaca Model 37 pump.

Anyone own a hammer gun made in Europe in 28ga?

That taurus would be the perfect gun to take along on moose hunts here in T-Bay for comacozzy partridge! My dad and uncle would kill for one! I on another hand think it very grotesque! But each to his own.

A nice Browning Superpose from the early fiftie's would be sweet! cheers dale Z!

I have an American Arms hammer gun in 28, but I need to re-stock it.

I shoot alot 0f skeet with 28ga. I have a cz redhead thats ok. Its been totally reliable and shoulders nice. the trigger sucks but always works. Before that i had a baikal sxs with a single trigger. It was just ok too. i put briley sidekicks in my browning superposed skeet and it works well. I would love a nice sxs with double triggers in 28ga.I should sell my cz and a few of my numerous 12 ga guns and step up.

In a moment of weakness, I sold my Citori 525 in 28gauge, but I just recently replaced it with a new Cynergy Feather in 28gauge, when Wholesale Sports dropped the price dramatically to clear them out. I haven't fired it yet, but it fits me well, and it sure swings nice for such a light gun.

Fair is heavy please of junk there are no and I mean no parts for them

They are far from 'junk" and if you think they are heavy you were either shooting one of the 28's on a 20 frame ( which some people actually like the weight of) which is not overly heavy or you really have no experience at all with them.
Many shooters demand a heaveir wirght f=gun for high volume shooting , or a lighter one for hunting.

As far as getting parts goes, you can get patrts from fineguns@bilozir.net
with no problem at all.

I owned a Fair briefly, and found it to be a well made gun, however, I will never again have anything to do with the dealer that sold me mine. I sold the gun, just to make sure of that.

Would like to see Ithaca introduce a 28 gauge light weight (5 to 5 1/2 pound) SXS.What a nice upland shotgun that would be.An upland hunter's dream.
