Scope ideas for the SVT-40?

That scope wont work on a svt repro mount. To use a svd scope, you have either to modify the rifle to accept the svd mount or try the aftermarket mount that slide in the side rail and get a svd scope that can fit weaver base. The mount i'm talking about you can find at ps militaria.com

I did this last year with a http://interammo.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_25&products_id=34. Worked pretty good. I tried the P&S weaver mount first but couldn't get the damn thing to saty put. Would hold zero for the first ten rounds and then slide. I was told later that a little love and attention to the rails that slide into the receiver would stop this from happening but I never got that far. Also the groups strung out pretty good as it got hot. I traded the rifle for another.
