Mossberg Tactical .22

Just got my hands on what looks like one of the last few available for what could be quite awhile. Got it from Frontier Firearms, one of our site sponsors who were great to deal with. Just waiting for my red dot sight to arrive and for more of the snow to melt. This should bring it to all an new level with them gophers:)
 
What scopes have people used with their tactical .22? I'm using a 1x 30mm TruGlo red dot sight, but kind of want to try something with some magnification that doesn't look too big or cost too much.

I just threw on a 3-9x42 NC Star handle mounted one, looks great. Haven't shot it yet. Good cheek weld with the 1" riser I got.
 
I am kind of stuck between buying an M-14S from Marstar or to get one of these Mossberg .22's for my next Rifle Purchase. I have to admit the Mossbergs are pretty sharp looking, Ammo wise i am leaning towards the Mossberg Tactical.
 
I think everyone should have one, or at least a few rimfires. Cheap ammo keeps the wife happy at my house. Each purchase comes with the "What do bullets for that thing cost?" question.

.308 is definately next level from rimfire for ammo prices.

NOt really.

I would rate them like this
.22, 7.62x39 surplus, 9mm Luger, 5.56 Nato, .308win

Maybe there's more cartridges in between price-wise, but that's all I own so far, well not counting a couple of 12GA's in there.
 
Why are there so many Mossberg Tacticals for sale on EE ?
I see a new one listen at least a couple of times a week.
Most of them is hardly used ....... are there any problems with these guns ??

Geezus you know what I meant, 22 is cheap, 308 not so much.

Not sure, haven't heard of many issues, it's just a basic plinkster with a plastic shell.

No issues with mine.

I went to Frontiers Website and noticed they are not posted there anymore...hopefully they are getting a resupply.
 
has anyone recieved their 25 rounders yet? I got an email yesterday saying that ups has printed the shipping labels but not recieved the actual mags yet. I hope that it is indeed the mags and not the cheap red dot i ordered.
 
Just tracked my shipment and it is a 2 part package so im really hopeful that they are the mags. They were shipped yesterday so i should get them this week sometime!

Updates from anyone that has recieved theirs yet?
