Price Check: SA stamped Tokarev SVT-40 (Pics up)

Lol you should read about the "Dragunov" project over in the Red Rifles Forum. You'd get crucified for calling an SVT bubba an idiot... or maybe without SA markings you are a genius to do whatever you want to an SVT.

Interesting that you didnt find an audience over on that thread, so you come over here and try to stir things up.

Hmm, what do they say about people in glass houses? At least his will function. Your request may make a gun a piece of scrap metal.

(Don't worry, I posted it over there as well, as I am sure a few will appreciate the irony).

Globeco has been out of business for 25 yrs. They were selling stuff at a time when guys didn't have a lot of spare change, and some ammo was simply unavailable. Beautiful rifles that no one was buying wasn't going to keep the light bill paid, so they made a decision to try to make something sellable to shoot available ammunition. Decisions are time-relative.

Makes sense, its just still a shame.

Ok here they are, let me know what you think. I had a hell of a time trying to take pictures under incandescent lights (sorry for the glare), but I forwarned you about that and as such they are what they are.

I forgot to mention that this bayonet came with the rifle, although no number appears to be present, but I did find what appeared to be a small Tula star stamped on the blade.

The stock, trigger guard, and magazine are not matching. But the bolt and the receiver numbers do match.

Let me know if the pics aren't working!

Again, Norinco's aren't milsurps. And an ironic post would have read: "Wanted: an SKS someone has made to look like an AK-47"

Pics look great! I know the bayonet tends to fetch a lot of cash. If you sell it with the rifle, you will surely get a premium price.

Unless you need the cash, I say keep her!
