Put the camo on for the first time sinse black powder season and went on a coyote hunt today. Drove up the hill ,its about 15 minute drive from the house and I hunt 1100 acres owned by 2 different farmers ,anyway got there and went to get the gun out of the 2 gun hard case and no key.Forgot it at the door on the way out.Popped the lock with the buck and pulled out the mini 14 project for its first hunt.Got it for 500 added the flash suppressor tapco stock adjusted the gas block ,put on the c&k scope mount,added a nikon 3x12x42 monarck,loaded 50 vmax with 251/2 gr. of imr 4895.Pulled the clip went to the cab to loader up and forgot the bullets with the keys.Packed up headed home.Grabbed the gear went around the corner to my buddys place because it was getting late. Walked maybe 100 yards sat down and started calling 1/2 hour coundn,t sit much longer went for a walk and no tracks other than deer and turkey.Went in another 250 yards sat and called again and lasted maybe 15 minites.Walked another 50 yards and stood against a tree.Saw the grey shadow in the thickest bush,wated and nothing called again and out he came.It seemed to take forever for the shot to happen but it happened just like on tv.It jumped and spun around a couple of times then dissappeared.I start calling with the pup wine and out came another,shot and missed pulled it and I new as soon as I did it.Went for walk and he didn,t get more than 20 yards,hit just above the briskit Small male felt good sorry can,t figure out how to get the pics off my phone let alone post them.

Good for you young fellow. Getting out and having fun beats sitting on yor butt. I'm not sure, but I'm at 70 or 80 so far this year.
