Controversial Cornwall Coyote Hunt Contest

I heard over CKNX radio talkshow ( located in Wingham in a the middle of a mostly rural area) that someone in the LIBERAL government with the MNR was praising that contest and musing on making it province wide next year. I have my doubts about this and I think it was mainly a PR move as the Libs in this neck of the woods have really been hammered over the wind turbine issue and are looking to find some way to pacify voters. Anybody else hear this?

hope fence depot can survive the march brake maddness :), wonder how many will show up, seeing some pix would be nice if posible

Yes...I don't know how they will manage the barrage of malnourished, pimple-prone, vegan sign wavers. ;)

I'll bring my camera for pics...IF they show.

The contest banquet is this Friday night...could get interesting.

I doubt the tree-huggers will show. It will be a great night. If any of you 'nutters show up, don't forget the coyote calls. We'll be having a calling contest. Hope to see you guys there.

Good turnout last night. 120-150 people??? hard to guesstimate.

LOTS of prizes...good meal...calling competition...fellow hunters...what could be better. :)

No "anti-hunters" showed. :owned:

Thanks "Fence Depot", for putting this on.

PS. Largest male coyote, 53lbs.

I am sorry that I missed the event; I had a death in the family that took me out of town to attend the funeral. I was looking forward to putting some faces to the names here on CGN. Thank you to Fence Depot for running this contest. Next year I promise to convert on my opportunities. :(

Regards,

Chizzy

We'll be running a turkey contest this spring.... stay tuned for the drama... LOL!

Chizzy, next time you're in the area stop in. Maybe even a CGN coffee night?

-Jason

Good luck on the turkey contest and the best of luck to the guy or gal from the Summerstown/GlenWalter area........I hope you win!
